POWERBOAT TASTER EXPERIENCE - WEYMOUTH - £25 - BANK HOLIDAY 31ST AUGUST 2026
Looking for something exciting to do in Weymouth on the August Bank Holiday? Have a go at driving our 7.8 Metre RIB around Weymouth Bay for just £25 per person.
Instead of sitting around in a normal sighseeing boat, our powerboat taster gives you the chance to actually take the wheel yourself. During the one hour session, everyone gets a turn driving, starting at slow speeds before heading out into Weymouth Bay and experiencing the RIB at higher speeds.
Suitable for families, couples, friends and anyone else wanting to have a go at driving our powerboat.
With a maximum of 3 people per session (unless a family of 4 wants to book a full session) your guaranteed plenty of time on the wheel!!
We exit the harbour, everyone gets a go at driving at slower speeds to get used to the boat before increasing to planing speed and undertaking S turns and U turns across Weymouth Bay before returning to the harbour

How much is the taster session?
£25 per person with a maximum of 3 people per session unless a family or group of 4 wanted to share the experience
Can I drive the powerboat myself?
Yes. everyone taking part gets time at the helm, starting with slow speed handling before progressing to higher speed driving in Weymouth Bay under the supervision of an experienced skipper
Where does the session start from?
We will provide full details including times and meeting details once a booking is made but we leave from around Weymouth Harbour.
Do i need previous experience?
Not at all. complete beginners welcome.
Are there minimum ages or heights?
To see over the console, you will need to be a minimum of 1.4l metres tall, anyone who is not 1.4 can still attend but may not be able to drive the boat.
2 Hour Taster Session - Group
Perfect as a Taster session or gift experience for a larger group or just more time on the wheel for each person. Safety briefing, slow speed manoeuvres, Man over board drills and planing speed manoeuvres are all covered during the time. Total time split between all participants.
Please note, this is not a high speed thrill ride, planing speed elements are covered but all under the strict supervision of an experienced skipper.
Max number of participants is 4 for maximum enjoyment and participation
