This course is aimed at experienced powerboaters with a significant amount of powerboating under their belt. A good working knowledge of navigation is essential, typically to the level of Yachtmaster Theory. If you haven't got this qualification, we can discuss your options if enough experience is evident.

The course is run in our 7.8 metre Ribcraft with a 325hp Suzuki on the back, coded for up to 11 people
Candidates should be competent to the level of the Intermediate Powerboat Certificate with a knowledge of the navigation and chartwork to the level of Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased certificate.
Candidates will be experienced powerboaters with minimum of Powerboat level 2 in a range of boats and conditions.
It is strongly recommended that candidates hold a first aid certificate and a VHF operators certificate.

We aim to run at least 1 Yacht Master theory course each year with the aim of upskilling people to the level needed to attend their Advanced Powerboat Qualification.
