
Following on from your RYA powerboat level 2, sometimes you just need time driving a boat to develop your powerboat skills. If you’re not linked to a local sailing club or similar which gives you this chance, our development days offer a great opportunity to log some hours.
Focussing on whatever you want, from navigation to close quarters handling, these days offer some great personal development for up to 3 people.
Done in Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour.
Sessions last approx 3 Hours and are purely on the water.

For those people looking to get some hours on the boat in night time conditions either as an experience or prior to their advanced course or exam, these sessions are great.
Focussing on Safety, navigation, lights and how to fix a position, these 3 hour sessions give a good introduction to night driving or give you an excellent opportunity to practice your navigational techniques prior to advanced courses.
All these sessions are run by Advanced Instructors and skippers who have plenty of experience in these waters.
Sessions involves a mix of classroom and on water sessions.

The topic that everyone looks forwards to but has a healthy respect for when on the water. How to deal with wind and waves whilst keeping yourself, your passengers and your boat safe.
These session can be run throughout the year and depending on the level and experience on the powerboat driver will depend on where we do the training.

Level 2 - Weymouth Bay, Chequers, the Grove
Intermediate to Advanced - Weymouth Bay / The Grove / Portland Bill
For all levels, when we get an Easterly wind coming into Weymouth Bay, we can get the right conditions right off the harbour.
All sessions are dependant on weather, instructor and boat availability.
Sessions involve mainly on water activities.

2 people - £110 each

Move from single engined boats across to twin engine and the additional handling capability that it involves.
Typically larger boats and engines, these boats provide extra power and maneuverability but additional challenges as well.
We work in conjunction with Weymouth Bay Rib Charters to provide these sessions as they have 2 10 metre craft with either twin 250hp engines or twin 300hp engines
