Professional Practices and Responsibilities (PPR) - is a compulsory online course for new and revalidating RYA Commercial Endorsement holders. The aim of the course is to introduce seafarers to relevant legislation applicable to them, including SOLAS, COSWoP, MARPOL, Flag State, Port State Authorities and the Code of Practice.

Working commercially brings with it many different responsibilities. Whilst very few people know all about them, this course aims to give you guidance on where you can find the relevant answers to any questions.
The course provides the relevant MCA documents, gives scenarios and guides you through the process of finding the answers.
This is an online course which takes approximately 8 hours. The course provides 3 mock exams prior to the main one and most people find that completing all 3 gives a good understanding To the subject and allows them to successfully complete the end exam.
